The BrakeHawk Zip Line Brake is any easy way for the rider to control their speed and stop in a specific place on the zip line, like landing on a platform. To engage the brake, during the ride, riders pull down on the frame of the Brakehawk or attached Tether (sold separately) which applies friction between the rubber brake pad and the top of the zip line cable to slow and stop the rider.
** Does not include the Torpedo trolley (photos are for illustration purposes only).
FEATURES
This type of brake is not designed to run into other braking systems, such as the Bungee Brake or Stop Block. Impact against these blocks will injure the BrakeHawk.
Replacement Brake Pads are available (sold separately). Can be purchased with the optional Tether to get young hands away from the cable, but still put active braking within your grasp.
Note: The maximum allowable slope is 6% (6 ft. drop per 100 ft. of distance) for zip lines that utilize a Brakehawk Zip Line Brake.
